About This Spot

Stepping into North Town Coffeehouse is like entering a warm pause in the rhythm of Yakima’s day. Nestled inside a beautifully remodeled historic train depot, the space carries a gentle hum of quiet conversations and the soothing clinks of coffee cups. The atmosphere invites both reflection and connection, with soft natural light filtering through large windows and thoughtful seating arrangements that make space for solo mornings or small gatherings alike.

The pace here feels unhurried yet purposeful. Baristas move skillfully behind the counter, crafting each espresso and latte with care—a nod to true coffee craftsmanship. Whether you lean toward bold, rich blends like their carefully poured cortado or crave a subtle sip of pomegranate green tea, the drinks encourage you to savor the moment, not rush past it.

Beyond the drinks, there’s a sense of local rhythms and stories intertwined with each visit. The familiar clatter of the historic depot surrounds you, mixed with the warmth of smiles from staff who know many customers by name. It’s the kind of place where strangers cross paths over shared tables, and the day’s worries dissolve in the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked pastries. The carefully selected menu supports this quiet joy—simple, comforting bites like a cheese danish or a grilled chicken pesto panini feel like thoughtful companions to your beverage of choice.

North Town Coffeehouse is a space shaped not just by its setting, but by the people who find a moment's respite here. It’s where Yakima’s history and everyday life mingle, creating a quietly convivial spot that quietly encourages you to slow down, taste fully, and settle in.

Best espresso in town! Fantastic cortado. The staff are awesome. After the remodel, the place looks better than ever. Plus the historic train depot aesthetic is iconic Yakima!

Love love love North Town Coffee. Their coffee is StumpTown, which is the best coffee EVER!!! Very friendly staff. Very clean. Lots of fun seating areas. Great for small group gathering. Drinks were made exactly to order and one person in our group had a very specific order. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

Well, let me tell you something about this coffee house. This coffee house is somewhere where you want to go to enjoy your coffee. surround with some friendly workers and friendly human beings from young to elders. I even met a famous wrestler, Art crews in the Northtown coffee House. Like I said, if you like to enjoy your coffee in the morning with a good atmosphere, this is the place.

Very cool setting in a historic train station to relax and visit. The cafe was clean and there is plenty of seats The drinks were made perfect and service was normal pace. Great prices on drinks.

Great place! Mocha & Chai were delicious. Prices are a tad bit higher compared to most other locally owned coffee shops, but the atmosphere can't be beat (given it's inside a remodeled train station). I would go again.

Beautiful building! Old train station or something… really cool. Great coffee… wife enjoyed it too! Would 100% come here again. Tons of seating and huge variety. Dope pictures on the walls showing the history.

Such a beautiful cafe in Yakima county, they had so many nice options for coffee, but what really made this place special was the different kinds of tea they had - jars upon jars of tea leaves. We got a pumpkin spice latte and blueberry tea, both heavenly delicious. The server was very nice as well. The interiors of the cafe were huge with antique decor, chandeliers and plush sofas, the ceilings were so high, Its rare to see such architecture for a cafe. You can also rent a room for group study sessions for $10 an hour. There were many students there working and studying. I would definitely recommend.
